Join first Lady Michelle Obama- the official “Jumper in Chief” as she kicks of the international attempt to break the record for the “Most People Doing Jumping Jacks in a 24-Hour period, ” – while honoring Jack LaLanne’s legacy of life long health and fitness.

Join CAHPERD, The American Alliance for Health, Physical Education Recreation & Dance (AAHPERD) National Geographic for Kids, National PTA, National Gardening Association, Jamba Juice, and more, as kids and adults break the record by doing one minute of jumping jacks wherever they are in the world!

Elaine’s niece Jane and her daughter Emily have spent the last few days spending time with Elaine and exploring the Central Coast, while on their California adventure. Today they will be heading up to San Francisco.

The Jack statue will be shipped to Virginia to be on display along with various other Jack LaLanne memorabilia, inventions, artifacts, including some of Jack’s vintage TV shows. It will be proudly displayed at the National Inventors Hall of Fame and Museum, beginning October 14th, 2011 through October of 2012.

The museum includes inventions, patents, and trademarks that have emerged from the fitness, nutrition, and exercise industries.

The National Inventors Hall of Fame and Museum is located in the atrium of the Madison Building on the campus of the United States Patent and Trademark Office at

Museum hours are Monday through Friday 9AM-5PM and Saturday from 12n-5PM
(closed Sundays and federal holidays). Admission is free.
